EOS

EOS is a single-person flying vehicle designed to revolutionize personal transportation through advanced aerodynamics and electric propulsion. This project focused on aerodynamic design and computational/practical testing.

Aerodynamic Design & Testing

The project involved designing and testing the aerodynamic properties of the wing components and propellers, optimizing their performance around the vehicle's structure. Extensive simulations and analyses were conducted to enhance the vehicle's stability, efficiency, and safety. The Eppler E423 high lift airfoil profile was selected for its exceptional lift to drag ratio, making it ideal for EOS’s wing component.

Scaled CAD Modelling & 3D Printing

A detailed and accurately scaled CAD model of the EOS Flight vehicle was created, which was then used to produce a 3D printed model. This prototype played a crucial role in testing the design in real world conditions. It allowed for the assessment of aerodynamic performance and helped identify areas where design adjustments were needed.
